Our Story
The Gorge Association of Aspirations was created in order to fill the void that is needed in this time to make the residents of the Columbia Gorge aspire to better days. As a unique and wonderful place, the Columbia Gorge is rich with history that exemplifies its beauty and nature. The core issues facing the Columbia River Gorge community are multifaceted, generally falling into three main, interconnected categories: socioeconomic challenges, the tension between development and preservation, and critical environmental concerns, many of which are exacerbated by climate change.

Programs

Efforts are needed to ensure safe, equitable, and accessible outdoor experiences for all, especially for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and LGBTQ+ communities.

The primary pathways for such advocacy include navigating the distinct jurisdictional frameworks of Oregon and Washington.
